German automaker MAN Truck & Bus has signed an agreement to deliver concrete pump chassis and other special-purpose vehicles to Chinese construction machinery manufacturer SANY Heavy Industries.

As per the deal, both the firms will step up their business relationship with regard to special-purpose vehicles, sales and service.

The deal will also both the companies expand their respective market positions in the construction machinery sector.

MAN Truck & Bus director of marketing, sales and services Frank Hiller said that the company's products will ensure that the construction-site vehicles will operate efficiently and safely.

"For MAN Truck & Bus the master agree-ment with SANY is a further milestone on the way to accessing the Chinese market but also to growth in the rest of Asia," Hiller said.

Earlier in 2012, SANY Heavy Industries acquired the German concrete-pump manufacturer Putzmeister.
